The miniTweezers was developed with US Government support under grant (Contract) No. GM-32543 awarded by the NIH and grant nos.: MBC-9118482 and DBI-9732140 awarded by the NSF to Carlos Bustamante. Development was also supported by salaries to Steven Smith and Carlos Bustamante from Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
We wish to thank the Agilent Technologies Foundation for a generous gift in 2008, aimed toward improving the miniTweezers design and making it publicly available.
